I know I haven’t been around for a while now, but today I have a fun and easy homemade scrub for you to try out.
It’s been a tough few weeks for me, now that it’s clearing up, I decided I’d take care of myself a little bit, just at home, nothing fancy. Sometimes all we need is simplicity.

Here is the recipe :
- 2Ts coconut flakes
- 1ts cinnamon
- 1Ts honey
Mix all the ingredients very well , put it on clean makeup free face and leave it on for 5 min. Afterwards start scrubbing using circular motions and rinse with warm water.
I usually follow this up by toning my face with rose water and moisturizing it with Argan oil (I follow the same steps as my facial, you can find detailed explanations here)

- Honey is one of my favorite ingredients to use in beauty treatment, the greatest moisturizer ever created, it also has antibacterial properties, making it perfect for treating acne in a very soft way. ( You can see another recipe with honey here)
- Cinnamon, which is a natural antiseptic, it will kill all the bacteria that cause breakout and dry out any existing pimples. it also stimulates blood circulation supplying the surface of your skin with much needed oxygen and nutrients.
- As for the coconut flakes, I like my scrubs to have some solid particles that act as a mechanical peel (like beads in regular over the counter scrubs), This is the role of the coconut flakes in this recipe, they are gentle enough for the skin of the face but still very effective.
